Two researchers from the Graphene and Advanced 2D Materials Research Group (GAMRG) of Sunway University, Professor Mohammad Khalid and Dr Abdul Khaliq Rasheed, won a GOLD medal at the 30th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) held from 2-4 May in KLCC.

The SUNWAY Sports team recently hosted the biennial sporting event, Trident Cup 2019.

Recently, the School of Hospitality (SOH) organised its 3^rd Research Seminar Series titled “Hospitality and Tourism Education: Reflections from 25 years and 6 National Contexts” presented by Dr Craig Thompson.

The second Research Seminar Series of the School of Hospitality (SOH) welcomes Dr. TPr. Goh Hong Ching, Coordinator and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Built Environment, University Malaya, to present her ongoing research entitled “Building capacity for integrated planning through sustainable interactions with marine ecosystems for the health, wellbeing, food and livelihoods of coastal communities”.

The School of Hospitality (SOH) Research Seminar Series for 2019 started well. Dr Mark Hampton from the University of Kent presented a case study of coastal tourism and its impacts in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, the country’s leading tourist destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A group of students from Foon Yew High School, Johor Bahru recently visited the School of Hospitality, Sunway University to participate in a culinary workshop conducted by Professor Chef Patrick Siau, a Practice Professor of Culinary Arts.

The School of Hospitality welcomes 30 students from Foon Yew High School, Kulai for a Hospitality Workshop by lecturers, Ms Rita Lo and Dr Maggie Leong.

Eighty aspiring students from the Pay Fong High School, Malacca stopped by at the School of Hospitality for a workshop, entitled “The Cheesy Workshop: Introduction to Real Cheese”.
