After a slow start in the beginning of 2020, the Department of Nursing gathered momentum to organize a continuous education workshop for the clinical instructors (CIs) in 24 September 2020. 

Students Cheok Hymm and Aaron Chieng from the BA (Hons) Digital Film Production degree together with Azeem Shah and Imran Marshal from the BA (Hons) Contemporary Music (Audio Technology) degree were awarded a paid internship at the 2019 Asia Pacific Dance Festival (APDF) & Conference that took place July 22 – August 4 in Honolulu, Hawai’i.

On 8 August 2019, the Department of Psychology, with help from the Sunway Education Group Department of Marketing organised the Sunway Psychology Day 2019.

Recently, two graduates of the BSc (Hons) Psychology Programme have been accepted into the very competitive Master of Clinical Psychology Programme at Universiti Kebangaan Malaysia (UKM).

For the past two years, graduates from the BSc (Hons) in Psychology programme under the Department of Psychology at the School of Science and Technology, Sunway University have been accepted into Western New England University’s very competitive Master of Applied Behavioral Analysis programme

The Department of Psychology at the School of Science and Technology, Sunway University was chosen as a host to an international student to run his research project in Malaysia.

Students Chong Zi Kang, Yap Khau Zhen, and Thong Jing Wen from the BA (Hons) Contemporary Music (Audio Technology) programme were awarded grants to participate in the “World Music” summer school at TNNUA (Tainan National University of the Arts) in Taiwan.

Students Jeffrey He and Jian Hao from the BA (Hons) Contemporary Music (Audio Technology) programme were awarded scholarships to participate in the “Shanghai Summer School 2019” at the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

Dr Jane Gew Lai Ti of Department of Biological Sciences (DBS) and Prof Mohammed Kheireddine Aroua of Research Centre for Carbon Dioxide Capture and Utilisation (CCDCU) , SST, Sunway University together with Prof Patrick Cognet and Yolande Peres of National Institute Polytechnic of Toulouse have received a grant from Hubert Curien Partnership – Hibiscus (PHC-Hibiscus) initiated by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research (MESRI), France.

Congratulations to our BSc (Hons) in Computer Science students from Department of Computing and Information Systems (DCIS), who won the Second Prize in the Alibaba's GET Digital Entrepreneurship & Innovation Challenge organized by Alibaba in Guizhou China on 21 July 2019.
