Prof Alvin Ng Lai Oon from the Department of Psychology at the School of Medical and Life Sciences, Sunway University, is part of a research team that was awarded the funding of MYR 3.7 million for a 3-year psychosocial intervention study on at-risk secondary school students.

In the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023, Sunway University is the No. 1 non-government linked university (GLU) private university in Malaysia and ranked as one of Malaysia’s Top 10 universities.

Sunway University has been awarded number one in Graduate Employability among all universities in Malaysia by Talentbank Group through the National Graduate Employability Index which gauges the employability rate of graduates from universities all across Malaysia.

Students of Sunway College and Sunway University ranked both institutions number 1 in “Career Support” in the International Student Barometer 2021 survey. 

In the recently released QS World University Rankings 2023, which ranked 1422 universities globally out of 2462 analysed institutions, Sunway University has emerged within the #601 – 650 band, a rise from its previous band #651 – 700.

On 26 May 2022, University of Cambridge, UK and Sunway University through the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, in Cambridge, UK inked the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), witnessed by YB Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, the Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia (MOHE).

Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022 has once again recognised Sunway University as the highest-ranked private university in Malaysia.

In the recently released Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022, Sunway University has climbed up to band 301 – 400 out of 1406 institutions ranked globally, maintaining its position as the highest-ranked Malaysian private university for two consecutive years.

This outstanding achievement serves as inspiration to many of our female colleagues all across the Group and is testament to Sunway's commitment to inclusiveness, gender equality and providing opportunities for all.
