Koh Junhao, PhD in Biology student from the Department of Biological Sciences has won the 2nd Runner Up for the Young Investigator Award category at the International Alzheimer’s Disease Conference 2018, which was held on 7th-8th September at Shatin, Hong Kong.

In July, 879 Sunway University graduates took to the stage to receive their scrolls in two sessions with the biggest cohort of 446 graduates from Sunway University Business School.

In August, we had the opportunity to meet up with Sunway Alumni currently based in London. A number of the alumni were pursuing their post-graduate studies while the majority were working. It was a great networking session as most of them had not met each other before.

The 10^th English for Specific Academic Purposes Symposium on August 11 attracted 170 English language specialists from 43 secondary schools and various Education Districts. The community outreach featured highly interactive workshops by CELS colleagues.

An annual initiative by the Sunway Education Group since 2012, to-date we have collected 22,378kg of electronic waste which would have otherwise dump into our landfills. Year 2017 we have collected 2,186.50kg and in first quarter 2018 we have collected 1,090kg.

Two students from School of Hospitality and School of Science & Technology represented Sunway University to participate in the Tamkang Summer Programme, Taiwan focusing on New Green Materials and Water Technologies.

From 31 July to 17 August 2018, 7 students were led by a Sunway Cultural Exchange Ambassador, Alexandrea Ng to Dankook University, Korea to attend th International Summer School.

On 21^st July, there were 101 students and 4 Chancellor Scholars represented Sunway University to attend the International Cultural Exchange (ICE) at Lancaster University, England.
