Kian Yeik Koay is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marketing Strategy and Innovation at the Sunway Business School, Sunway University. He completed his PhD at Monash University, Malaysia. Articles authored by him have been published in reputed international journals, such as Information & Management, Journal of Business Research, Internet Research, Behaviour & Information Technology, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Vacation Marketing, European Business Review, International Journal of Emerging Markets, British Food Journal, International Journal of Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality Research, Telematics and Informatics, Management Research Review, and First Monday, amongst others. Furthermore, he is currently serving as a guest editor for a special issue on social media influencer marketing for the Journal of Internet Commerce and has been actively serving as a reviewer for various reputable A* and A journals. In addition, he has successfully secured a number of research grants including FRGS. He is currently ranked 4 as a business researcher in Malaysia according to the P-Rank in the year 2021.
