I am a Professor of Finance at Sunway University Business School (SUBS), Sunway University, in Malaysia. At SUBS, I previously served as Associate Dean for Postgraduate and Research. Prior to joining Sunway University, I served as Acting Associate Dean for Administration and International Relations at the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University. I previously served as Associate Dean for International Relations at Khon Kaen Business School (formerly known as the Faculty of Management Science), Khon Kaen University.

I have taken an inter-disciplinary approach by aiming at integrating different fields of knowledge in teaching, research and consulting. I have given lectures in a range of subjects in economics, finance and management at bachelor, master and doctorate levels in Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and New Zealand. I currently serve as Associate Editor for International Review of Financial Analysis and Global Finance Journal. I previously served as Consulting Editor for the Journal of Asia Business Studies.

During 2015-2016, I had been included in the List of Top 100 Young Economists in the World (5 years or less) by IDEAS/RePEc (https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.young.html).

Since 2019, I have been included in the List of Top 10% Economists in the World (based on last 10 publications years) by IDEAS/RePEc (https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.person.all10.html). My rankings have been in Top 10% in 2019, Top 8% in 2020 and Top 6% in 2021.

Since 2018, I have been included in List Top 12.5% Economists in Asia (based on last 10 publications years) by IDEAS/RePEc (https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.asia.html). My rankings have been in Top 8% in 2018, Top 6% in 2019, Top 4% in 2020 and Top 3% in 2021.

Committed to help children in need (e.g., underprivileged children with cleft lip and cleft palate), I have been a volunteer participating regularly in medical missions for Operation Smile since 2012. I have a passion for documentary photography and enjoy taking photos with range-finder cameras. When I am not too occupied with other things, I run a bit.
