Let's give a round of applause to our Sunway University Young Chefs Club who WON the Gold and Bronze Medals at the Food and Hotel Malaysia 2022! 

An academic team of the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Sunway University had a very productive and promising meeting with the specialists in the area of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) also known as drones from the Guilin University of Aerospace Technology (GUAT), China.

Led by Ms Anisha Chai, a group of 23 students who have enrolled for the subject Cuisine and Culture of Malaysia, have the opportunity to visit the historic city of Melaka from 10th to 12th June. 

In the recent April-July semester, a group of students enrolled in the Festival and Hallmark Events subject under the BSc (Hons) Conventions and Events Management (BCEM) programme had the opportunity to participate in a three-day field trip to Georgetown, Penang. 

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a diverse group of conditions that developed in early childhood and about one in 68 children has ASD (WHO, 2021). 

Learning outside the classroom is part of an innovative learning experience for students at the School of Hospitality and Service Management, Sunway University. Spearheaded by Dr Tan Ai Ling (Senior Lecturer and subject leader of the Food Supply Chain Management module) and Mr Nicholas Ou (Co-founder of Loop Foods), the students from the BSc (Hons) International Hospitality Management and BSc (Hons) Culinary Management had an amazing opportunity to conduct a real case study research on the food supply chain system and business model of the organisation.

Dr.Norshahirah Binti Mohamad Saidi from Graphene and Advanced 2D Materials Research Group (GAMRG), School of Engineering & Technology, has been selected as one of the 600 most qualified young scientists to participate in the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (Chemistry) as a nominee of the Global Young Academy. 

Students from Sunway International Business Society organised a sustainable fashion charity event aiming to advocate sustainable fashion, to reduce the production and consumption of fast fashion and promote awareness of climate change among the younger generation. 

We are proud to announce that Associate Professor Dr Felicia Chung was named one of the recipients of the L’Oréal-UNESCO Fellowship for Women in Science for 2021!
